One site can be attached to only one hosting. Of course, its multimedia files can be stored on servers and file storages of other hosters, but the content management system (CMS) itself, as well as all articles and site texts with databases belong to the hosting company to which the site's domain (its address) is attached. Knowing the address of the site (you can see it in the address bar), you can also find out information about its hoster. This information is contained in the international information base WHOIS, which describes detailed public information about each of the registered second-level domains.

There are many services on the Internet that provide information from WHOIS databases. One of these resources is located at: https://whois-service.ru/. To find out information about the hoster of a site, click on the Whois Service link and enter the domain name in the special field, and then press the Enter key on your keyboard.
Step 3
If such a URL exists and is already registered, the site page will reload and you will see the message "[site address] is busy." Below you will see detailed public information about the domain, which was not hidden by the site owner. Among the information provided, you can observe two lines nserver:. It is they that contain the names of the remote machines on the disk space of which the site you are interested in is located. Typically, DNS server addresses look like this:

Step 4
Subdomains are responsible for the numbering of servers - usually numbers 1 and 2, but sometimes 3 and 4 are also found. The value “xxx.xx” is nothing more than the hoster's client site. By clicking on this address, you will find out on which hosting the site you are interested in is located, since this part of the URL most likely leads exactly to the representative resource of the hoster.
