Users of personal computers can send files not only via e-mail, but also using some social networks. Thus, members of the VKontakte website can send music, documents, photos, video materials to their friends over the network, weighing up to 200 MB.
Instructions
Step 1
A site user can attach almost any document to a message on the VKontakte social network, including text messages, music files, videos, photographs and pictures, maps and even gifts. To do this, you must first go to your profile, having previously entered the username and password used as credentials. After that, on the left side of the screen, find the "My messages" item and click on the link to go to the messages page in the "Dialogues" section.
Step 2
From the list of dialogs, select the user you need and click on the line with his avatar, thereby you will go to the page of correspondence with this participant. Write your message in the lower empty field. To send a file along with the letter, click the "Attach" button under the message and in the drop-down window select the type of the desired file: the document you need. In the new window that opens, specify the location of the file to be sent, select it with the mouse and add it to the message.
Step 3
It is noteworthy that you can send files both from your personal page, from albums on your page, from statuses, and from a computer folder or from a removable storage medium. To do this, you will need to click the link "Upload a photo", "Attach a video" and select the desired document. After that, all you have to do is wait until the file is attached to the message and press the "Send" button or use the keyboard keys Enter or Ctrl + Enter (depending on the settings).
Step 4
Documents can also be sent from those folders that are stored on your page, and those on your computer or on a flash drive.
Step 5
However, not all file formats can be attached to VKontakte. In particular, this applies to presentations, *.exe files and some others that, at first glance, cannot be sent along with the message. But it turns out that this problem can be solved. To do this, you need to pack all files into a zip-archive (right-click on the file and select the "Add to archive" option in the drop-down window).
Step 6
After that, you need to change the file extension from *.zip to *.docx or *.doc. In the next window, confirm the decision "Make a change" with the "Yes" button. Now you can safely attach the zipped file, without forgetting to notify the user in the accompanying message that upon receipt of the document, you will need to change its extension to *.zip and extract the files.
Step 7
This method is also suitable when you need to transfer several documents at once.
