The need to disconnect the Internet from MGTS may arise after changing the provider. To do this, you should contact the support service and inform about your desire to terminate the contract, as well as disconnect the ADSL equipment.

Step 1
Before completely abandoning MGTS provider services after changing your provider, consider switching to one of the Internet-Light tariffs. After switching to any of these tariffs, the subscription fee itself will fall more than five times, and in addition to it, you will have to pay for those days on which the modem was turned on at least for a short time. Such a channel can be used as a backup: if your new provider will occasionally work intermittently, then on days when this happens, you can turn on the ADSL modem connected to MGTS. Do not forget to turn off the modem as soon as the new provider resumes its work.
Step 2
If you nevertheless decide to disconnect the Internet from MGTS completely, call the city phone (495) 636-06-36. Tell the operator that you have decided to terminate the contract, give your passport details and wait for the notification that the service is no longer available to you. Make sure that this is indeed the case.
Step 3
Disconnect the splitter and modem from the telephone network. Connect telephones to the line directly. Observe the safety rules when doing this, as a high voltage appears on the line with an incoming call. Remove all cables that have been routed from the modem to the computers. If the modem is owned by MGTS and is rented by you, hand it over (for this, a telephone master may come to you). Sell the modem that is your property if you wish. If there was only one machine connected and the PPPoE client was right there, remove it.
Step 4
In the current month, you may be billed for using MGTS Internet in full. Wait for the receipt for the next month - there should be no corresponding item in it. If you still have it, call the above number and let us know that you continue to demand a subscription fee for the Internet by mistake.
