"Mail.ru Agent" became very popular thanks to first the mail and then the entertainment service Mail.ru. "Mail.ru Agent" is a free text messenger with smiles and flash movies, the ability to transfer files and create video conferencing.

Step 1
Unlike ICQ or Skype, Mail.ru Agent is popular only in Russia and the CIS countries. With the launch of the social network "My World", this messenger was used mainly for finding interesting people and acquaintances between girls and young people. Later, the "Mail.ru Agent" appeared a weather forecast, a news feed with notifications, joint browser games, calls through a microphone and a videophone.
In order to create a user account in "Mail.ru Agent", go to the Mail.ru service website: https://www.mail.ru and in its left part next to the e-mail login form, find the link "Agent" … Click on the link to go to the messenger sub-site.
Step 2
On the sub-site under the name "[email protected]" you will see a column with a list of distributions available for download: select the program distribution kit that suits you, for example, "Mail. Ru Agent for Windows", if you are going to install the messenger on a computer running Microsoft Windows, "For Mac" if you are installing the application on an Apple computer, or one of the mobile agents, depending on your phone's operating system.
Step 3
After downloading and installing "Mail.ru Agent", run it. In the appeared messenger authorization window, click on the "Register" link and fill in all the fields marked with an asterisk, then enter the security code and click the "Register" button. Using the login and password specified during registration, log in to the messenger and check the box next to "Remember password" if you use your computer or phone.
Step 4
The Mail.ru Agent icon in the form of an electronic dog will change from red to yellow, which means that the program is trying to connect to the server. As soon as the yellow color of the program symbol changes to green, you will enter the messenger and can start chatting.
