Gone are the days when TV was the only "window to the world", now more and more people prefer the Internet to ordinary TV broadcasts. And this is natural: films and music videos, live and recorded TV programs, a variety of amateur videos - all this and much more can be found on the Internet at any convenient time and in any quantity. But what do you need to watch videos on the Internet online?
What to look at
You can watch online videos not only on a desktop computer. Flash technologies are also supported by many modern mobile gadgets: PDAs, communicators, smartphones. You can clarify whether your mobile device is capable of playing flash in the technical documentation for your device.
For Internet video to play, a flash player must be installed on the device. And, preferably, in the latest version. However, there is no need to worry unnecessarily - this software is distributed free of charge, and a message about the need to install / update a flash player and a link to download it will appear directly on the page with the video when you try to play it.
In case the video player is not displayed at all on the web page, change the settings of your browser: the functions for displaying images, JavaScript and Active-X elements must be enabled.
Internet speed
To play online videos without stuttering, your internet connection speed must be at least 512 Kbps. If Internet providers bypass your home and ADSL cable is still only a dream for you, as well as high-speed WiFi and so on, get a 3G modem. Fortunately, mobile operators offer them in a large assortment and at affordable prices.
There are many ways to improve the quality of 3G communication: using USB extension cords, industrial and handicraft amplifiers - you can find detailed recommendations, if necessary, on the same Internet.
If the video slows down
On low-speed internet, try to set the video file resolution to the lowest possible resolution. Full-screen HD video viewing is, alas, not for you.
If the video file still freezes during playback, during playback, click on "Pause" and wait until the entire video (or a more or less large fragment of it) is loaded into the cache of your browser. The swap progress will be shown by an indicator on the player's slider. Another option is to play the video and step away from the computer (continue surfing the web on other sites in new tabs / in another browser). After the video playback is over, click on the Replay button - the video file will be played from the cache without slowdowns.
It is also possible to extract a video file from the cache of your browser or download it from the site on which it is uploaded using a variety of tools distributed on the network, and then view it directly from your hard drive. However, in most cases, such actions fall under the jurisdiction of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, so before proceeding with such manipulations, think carefully about the possible consequences.
Enjoy your views.
