Many search engines, in addition to indexing sites and blogs, also offer HTML-codes for counters that allow you to control the popularity of the resource: buttons with the number of links, with the number of places in the overall rating, with the number of visits per month or day.
Instructions
Step 1
Before installing such a counter, index your site or blog in a search engine. For example, the link to the indexing page on Yandex is indicated under the article.
Step 2
Wait for the site or blog to be indexed. Just in case, check it out with a search engine: enter a title and see which pages the first lines of results link to. If this is your site, then the indexing was successful. After that, go to the page on the second link under the current article. In the box next to the word "location", enter your blog address.
Step 3
The next page will display a page listing the blogs according to their rating. Your resource will be highlighted in yellow, and below it there will be a link with the words: "Get the button code". Click on it.
Step 4
Select the shape of the button for your blog by marking a dot within a circle next to the button. The HTML code for that button appears below the list of buttons. Copy it and paste it in HTML-editing mode on one of the pages of the site.
Step 5
The simpler counter code is not related to search services. You can control the quantity by inserting tags like this:
… Note that tags are only effective in HTML editing mode. They are not converted to a counter in the visual editor.
