A well-chosen font can emphasize the style of the site, give it uniqueness, beautifully separate paragraphs, main text, quotes and secondary information. And also make the site memorable and give pleasant emotions to visitors.
Instructions
Step 1
The most accurate way to determine a site's font is to look at the CSS properties. Modern browsers have special tools that make this task much easier.
Step 2
To view the font in the Firefox browser, right-click on the block of text you are interested in and click "Explore Element". Click the "Style" button located in the lower right corner of the window and in the window that appears, click "Properties". Enter "font" in the property search bar. The browser will display all the text settings for the specified element. Among them will be "font-family", indicating the name of the desired font. Also in the rest of the properties you can define the style and thickness of the text.
Step 3
A similar feature in Chrome is called View Item Code. By clicking on it, expand the Computed Style list located on the right side of the Elements tab. Look for the "font-family" property to find out the name of the font.
Step 4
In the Opera browser, this feature is called "Inspect Element". Select it, switch to the "Documents" tab and click the "Styles" tab, located on the right side of the window. Enter "font" in the "Filter" field. Expand the list "Calculated style", among the listed properties will be the name of the font.
Step 5
You can also define the font on the site using Microsoft Word. It can copy text into a document while preserving formatting from almost any source.
Step 6
To define the font using the Word program, paste the contents of the clipboard into it using the right mouse button or the key combination "Ctrl + V", selecting "Keep original formatting" when pasting. You can also use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Alt + V" by pointing to "HTML Format" from the menu.
Step 7
Look at the "Home" tab for the displayed font. This method is easier than viewing the CSS properties, but in some cases Word does not correctly detect the font. Be careful.
