WMID is a unique identifier for an account in the WebMoney payment system. Knowing the WMID, you can determine the level of business activity, the status of the passport and the reliability of a person in the system.

What is WMID used for

WMID is assigned during registration in WebMoney, it is a 12-digit sequence of numbers. WMID can correspond to any number of wallets, each of which also has an alphanumeric index. Account WMID and wallet numbers never match. When transferring money, you need to specify not the WMID, but the wallet number.

WMID is used to obtain information about an account - it is for it that a passport is registered, BL (Business Level, level of business activity) is calculated, invoices are issued, messages are sent. The WMID number is not secret information; you can safely transfer it to third parties (but, of course, without a password).

What you can learn about a participant using a WMID

Knowing the WMID, you can find out the Trust Level of the system participant. This indicator reflects how much other WebMoney members trust the owner of this account and determines the size of the trust limits of the system's debt service. The TL level is influenced by many parameters, and if it is equal to zero, then this indicates that the owner of the WMID either did not participate in the debt service, or no longer has any trust limits.

Another important characteristic of a WMID is the Business Level, which determines the level of business activity of the account holder. The value of BL is influenced, among other things, by the duration of active use of the system services, the number of partners, the volume of transactions, and the presence of claims. You can find out BL by WMID through the Verification Center. If BL is zero, then, perhaps, the service of this member has been suspended for some reason.

Each member of the system can have several WMIDs, but all of them will be united by one Passport (it is tied to the member's personal data).

The higher the status of the Certificate, the more trust it receives from the system, the more you can trust the owner of the account in monetary transactions. On the same page of the Verification Center, you can see what kind of certificate the owner of the WMID possesses.

If the WMID has a pseudonym passport, then the participant did not even provide the system with passport data, and this indicates its possible low reliability.

A formal passport involves entering passport data, but does not guarantee their accuracy.

If the participant is the owner of the initial passport, this means that he has provided one of the owners of the personal passport with notarized documents or their scans after replenishing the wallet through the translation system, which requires the provision of original documents.

If the documents are verified by the owner of the registrar passport, then the WMID is issued a personal passport.

Registrar's certificate is of the highest level, it is issued only at a personal meeting at the Webmoney office in Moscow.

So, WMID is a very important identifier of a WebMoney member, knowing which, you can get a lot of information about its owner and make the right decision about the security of an upcoming transaction or transfer.
