Successful and fast website promotion and earning money on it is impossible without placing various advertising banners. It is also worth noting that animated colorful images can serve as a kind of decoration for the site.
Instructions
Step 1
To pin a banner on a website, first get it (banner) valid HTML code. If the banner is provided by the banner exchange system or you received it through contextual advertising services, you need to log into your account of the corresponding service in order to generate the required code.
Step 2
An ordinary banner is an image displayed on the pages of a website. A sample code for it will look like this:, where the url of the banner is the actual url value of this image.
Step 3
Log in to your Internet resource in its administration mode, then select the place in the template where you want to place the banner. Consider its size, as too wide a banner can stretch other elements of your site, and this will lead to the fact that they will be inconvenient to use. And it is unlikely that it will look beautiful.
Step 4
The CRT of the banner, which is located in the "header" of the site, is higher than that of the one on the side. However, do not forget about relevance: if your site is computer-related, and in its header there will be ads not related to computers, this will alienate some users.
Step 5
Go to the CMS management panel and select the section titled "Template Editing". Open the one you need. You can do it differently - upload a template or some parts of it via FTP to your computer's hard drive and open it there using a text editor.
Step 6
Paste the banner code in the selected location. If you have selected a side menu for it, you will need to copy the markup of the container of the menu item. Then paste in the HTML code for the banner. The container of the item is usually the item in the list L1.
Step 7
After making the necessary edits, save the updated template, for which you just need to click the "Update file" button in the control panel of your site. If you edited the template on your computer hard drive, save it and then upload it to your site via FTP. Don't forget to make sure the banner is where it was intended. And pay attention to how its position changes with tenx or other changes in the size of the browser window.
