Step 1
We create an icon for the site. To do this, you can use special programs such as "Adsen FavIcon", "IcoFX", "Favicon Create". Or online services, where we just upload a picture and get an icon. An example of such sites: www.favicon.ru or www.favicon.by. In any case, save our file under the name "favicon.ico"
Step 2
Next, open the root folder of the site and drop our file with the icon image there.
Step 3
Open the source html file. Find the "head" tag and paste the following code into it:

"Link icon" href = "/ favicon.ico" type = "image / x-icon" ". After that, your icon will be visible in the browser. However, this may not happen right away if the server has not updated the file yet. We are waiting for a couple of days and admire the icon that appears. It is worth noting that on some engines, you can simply copy your icon to the root folder of the site, replacing the existing icon.
