Most Java applications for mobile phones use Internet access via Wi-Fi or GPRS connections. Correct operation of these applications (Jimm, ICQ, Opera mini, M-agent) requires preliminary configuration of the user profile of the program.
Instructions
Step 1
Bring up the main menu of the system and go to the item "Settings" (for Nokia phone).
Step 2
Select Configuration and select Personal Configuration Options (for Nokia phone).
Step 3
Select Add and go to Hotspot (for Nokia phone).
Step 4
Enter Account Name and expand Internet (for Nokia phone).
Step 5
Press the Back button and go to Options (for Nokia phone).
Step 6
Click the Enable button (for Nokia phone).
Step 7
Call the main menu of the phone and go to the "Settings" item (for a Sony Ericsson phone).
Step 8
Specify the item "Communication" and select the section "Data transfer" (for a Sony Ericsson phone).
Step 9
Select Accounts and go to New Account (for Sony Ericsson phones).
Step 10
Expand the PS Data section and enter the following values: Name - Internet
Access point name - Internet
Username - leave blank
Password - leave blank
and click the Save button (for a Sony Ericsson phone).
Step 11
Return to the Communication menu and go to Internet Options (for Sony Ericsson phones).
Step 12
Select the "Internet Profile" item and select the "New Profile" section (for a Sony Ericsson phone).
Step 13
Re-enter the above values and save the created profile (for Sony Ericsson phone).
Step 14
Activate the newly created profile. Return to the main menu, go to "Communication", select "Java options" and select the Internet profile (for a Sony Ericsson phone).
Step 15
Create an Internet profile in the menu Internet - "Connection settings" - "Options" - "Create", specifying the Internet value in the "Name" and "Access name" fields and without filling in the rest of the fields (for a Samsung phone).
Step 16
Select the required application in the Applications menu and expand the Options - Connections item (for Samsung phone).
Step 17
Specify the newly created Internet profile and close the application (for Samsung phone).
