Many Internet users are often looking for ways to preserve certain types of content: images, music or videos. Of course, such information can be obtained only with the help of the cache and files from this folder.
Instructions
Step 1
Internet Explorer
In the main window of the program, click the top menu "Tools" and select "Internet Options". In the window that opens, go to the "General" tab and in the "Browsing history" section, click the "Options" button. Find the line "Current" here and copy the address to the clipboard, then paste it into "Windows Explorer" (open any window, paste the line from the clipboard and press Enter).
Step 2
As a rule, the addresses practically do not change during the lifetime of the browser. For Windows 2000, the cache directory is located at C: / Documents and Settings / _username_ / Local Settings / Temporary Internet Files. For Windows XP - C: / Documents and Settings / _username_ / Local Settings / Temporary Internet Files. For Windows Vista and Seven operating systems - C: / Users / _user_name_ / AppData / Local / Microsoft / Windows / Temporary internet Files.
Step 3
Opera
In the main window of the program, create a new tab by clicking the "+" icon, or through the "File" menu and the "New Tab" command. Then click the Help menu and select About. Find the "Paths" category on the page and in the "Cache" line copy the address C: / Documents and Settings / _user_name_ / Local Settings / Application Data / Opera / Opera / profile / cache4 (the address may be different).
Step 4
Mozilla Firefox
Create a new tab by clicking the File menu and choosing New Tab. In the address bar of your browser, enter the command about: cache and press Enter. Go to the Disk cache device block, the Cache Directory line will contain the desired address, usually of the following form - C: / Documents and Settings / _user_name_ / Local Settings / Application Data / Mozilla / Firefox / Profiles / _profile_name_ / Cache.
Step 5
Google chrome
It makes no sense to search for the location of this directory by means of the browser. it has been unchanged for several years. For Windows XP and older systems - C: / Documents and Settings / _user_name_ / Local Settings / Application Data / Google / Chrome / User Data / Default / Cache. For younger systems - C: / Users / _user_name_ / AppData / Local / Google / Chrome / User Data / Default / Cache.
