Email programs or online services do not support sending entire folders of information. But it is very inconvenient to add files one at a time, and the recipient has to manually collect them later in one folder. The way out is to send an archive with several documents.

Instructions

Step 1

Find the folder on your computer's hard drive. To do this, double-click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, then on the icon of the D: drive or any other where your files are stored. Right-click on the image next to the folder name and select the "Properties" menu item. You will see a tabbed window open to the General section.

Step 2

In the central part of the window, find the line "Size" and the number of megabytes that your documents occupy. This is necessary in order to determine how many emails are needed to send a folder with documents. If the size is less than 20 MB, then everything is in order - one letter is enough. In most cases, this is exactly the case, because text documents do not take up very much space. If the folder is larger than 20 MB, try deleting documents you no longer need and check the size again. You may still need to split the overly large folder into two or more parts.

Step 3

Close the properties window and right-click on your folder icon again. A menu will appear, from which select the "Send" item, or rather, a submenu named "Compressed ZIP-folder", and click on it with the left mouse button. Enter a name for the archive with documents and press the Enter button. Now you have a file that you can easily and conveniently send by e-mail, and the recipient can unzip it into a folder with documents.

Step 4

Open the program with which you send emails. It can be Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. Many people use the web page of the postal service, for example, Mail.ru or Gmail, to send letters - the essence does not change. Create a letter, enter the recipient's address and click the "Attach" button. It is often marked with a paperclip icon. Select the archive file that you created and wait for a while while it will be added to the letter. Then click the "Submit" button.
