Step 1
To date, the author of a topic on the forum can close it in two ways at once: by contacting the administration of the resource, or by using the appropriate interface of the forum. It should be emphasized that most forums do not provide for the possibility of closing the created topic directly by the user. However, there are resources to do this.

Closing a topic through the forum interface. To close the topic you have created, you just need to click the corresponding button on the page of the open topic. If there is no such button, then the forum does not provide such a command. In such a situation, you can close the topic by contacting the project administration (section moderators).

This can be done using the private messaging system running on the forum. You only need to choose a moderator, after which, write him an appeal with a request to close the topic. The request must be motivated. In the body of the message, do not forget to indicate the address of the topic that you want to close.

If you are a forum administrator, closing a topic will not be a big problem for you - you can close absolutely any topic that has ever been created on your resource. To do this, open the desired topic and select the appropriate command on the open page. It should be noted that in order to execute the command, you must be logged in on the forum as an administrator. Otherwise, you will not see the theme management interface.
