A banner can be created for different purposes: as an advertisement for your business project or website on the Internet, or as a replacement for conventional black and white advertising. Microsoft Word is a program that has all the tools that allow you to create your own banner.

Necessary

  • - Computer;
  • - Internet access.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to the official Microsoft website to download templates. In the search box at the top of the site, enter the word "banner". Click on the "search" button.

Step 2

Browse through a list of the wide variety of banner templates currently available. Find a template, design, style, and purpose that best suits your needs. Make sure the template is for Microsoft Word and not for other programs. Most templates will only print portions of the banner onto a standard A4 sheet of paper. By combining them all together, you create a large banner for use at various events.

Step 3

Click on the link of your chosen banner template. Click the download button and accept the Microsoft Service Agreement. The template should start loading immediately. Save it in an easy-to-remember location on your computer. Wait for the download to complete.

Step 4

Open the Word tool and click on the button in the upper left corner of the program. Select the function "New" and "Create from existing". In the window that appears, navigate to the saved template file on your computer. Select it and click on "OK". The new document, obtained from the banner template that you downloaded, now needs to be opened in Word.

Step 5

Customize your banner. Experiment with colors, font styles and sizes. Change or add text and images so that your banner best represents the message you are trying to communicate. Once you're done, move on to the File and Save As function. Save it under a different name on your computer so that you can quickly access the banner if you need to make any further changes.
