In order not to remain impersonal for all users visiting your page on the VKontakte website, it is best to set the main photo of your profile (avatar). This is not difficult, there are several stages.
Necessary
A photo uploaded to a computer, Internet access, an account (page) on the VKontakte website
Instructions
Step 1
Go to your page on the VKontakte website using your username and password from your profile. Hover over the main photo of your account, it is located in the upper left corner.
Step 2
As soon as you hover the cursor, a list of two categories "Upload a new photo" and "Change thumbnail" will pop up. Click the left mouse button once on the "Upload a new photo" option.
Step 3
In the appeared window "Upload a new photo" find the button "Select file" (it is located in the center), highlighted in blue and click on it once with the left mouse button.
Step 4
After a while, your computer's desktop window will open. Find in the window that opens the photo that you will set as your avatar. Click on it once with the left mouse button, thus highlighting the image. Then click on the "Open" button with the left mouse button once, which is located in the lower right corner of the window.
Step 5
A few seconds after loading, the "Photo on your page" window will appear. In the screenshot, you will see the image you uploaded, enclosed in a small frame. Move your cursor over the square markers located along the edges of the frame and adjust the size of the photo as you want it to appear on the avatar. After that, click the "Save and Continue" button located at the bottom of the window once with the left mouse button.
Step 6
Next, select the size of your avatar thumbnail by adjusting the frame size. After that, click the "Save Image" button at the bottom of the window by clicking on it with the left mouse button. After a few seconds, your avatar will be updated and duplicated on your account wall.
Step 7
Using the services of the VKontakte website, you can change your avatar using various filters. To do this, click on it with the left mouse button once. After the photo has opened in the window - select the "Edit" option from the list at the bottom left under the picture.
Step 8
Several examples of filters for the picture will appear under the avatar. By clicking on each one in turn, select the one you like and click the "Save" or "Cancel" button, if you do not want to use this service, and return to your page.
