Advertisements on websites are often a source of inconvenience and annoyance for users. Sometimes the creators and owners of the resource abuse advertising so much that the page becomes impossible to use. To solve the problem, special programs have been created that filter the advertising stream and make browsing sites much more convenient and fast.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch any browser you are accustomed to to view the Internet. Enter the following text in the address bar: https://www.softportal.com/get-660-ad-muncher.html. Go to the "Download" section and download the installation file of the Ad Muncher program. It blocks banner ads, pop-ups, and many other annoying website elements. If you wish, you can choose another program from the "Ad Blocking" section and try it out, for example, AdGuard.
Step 2
Double click the left mouse button on the downloaded file. This will start the installation process of the utility. Select the folder where the program will be installed and click Next. If nothing is changed, the C: Program FilesAd Muncher directory will be used.
Step 3
Click the I Agree button to accept the license agreement. The trial period is 30 days, during which time you can decide whether this tool is worth the money. Click the Next button on the next page. In the same place, the checkboxes will mark the items to automatically launch the program together with the operating system, create a shortcut on the desktop and in the All Programs folder. Also noted for use with popular browsers, namely Opera, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Step 4
Click on Next on the next page. Here you are offered to choose the option to save the program settings: in the profile of each user or in the program folder. Leave the first option checked, then the program's capabilities will be available from all system accounts.
Step 5
Click the "Start free 30-day trial" button in the window that will automatically appear on the screen. This will begin the trial period of use. After checking and registering a new copy, a Close button will appear. Click it to complete the installation.
Step 6
Check the system area of running applications. It is located in the lower right corner of the screen near the clock. If you see the Ad Muncher icon in the form of a cow's head, then the program has been successfully launched. If there is no icon, open it by double-clicking on the icon on the desktop or through the Start menu, the All Programs submenu, the Ad Muncher item. Once launched, the program will be able to prohibit banners in all browsers selected during installation, as well as in ICQ and some other familiar utilities. All this happens automatically without user intervention.
