Counter-Strike game is very popular among gamers because it allows you to create your own game server based on your home computer. The server administrator can manage the connection and settings, as well as exclude players and conduct voting.
Necessary
- - CS server;
- - the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Find your server's user settings file, users.ini, located in the game folder at / cstrike / addons / amxmodx / configs. Open the document with a regular notepad or text editor. To do this, click on the file with the right mouse button and select the "Open with" item, if the required program is not in the list that appears, then click the "Select program" button. Here you can specify an application from the list or click the browse button and find it yourself. It is recommended to first copy the settings file by the user separately in case of unsuccessful adjustment.
Step 2
Type the following text at the end of the users.ini file. “My name” “my_password” put a space and write first the administrator's name, and then the password for access. This option is used if you have a dynamic IP address. In the case of a static IP address, the administrator can log in using it.
Step 3
To do this, at the end of the text, you need to write a text containing information about the IP and password for entering. If you plan to enter the server from the same computer on which it is installed, then specify "127.0.0.1" before the login and password.
Step 4
Save your password information to a separate text file that you want to save in a safe place on your computer. Then restart your server. Now you need to log in to the server for the first time as an administrator.
Step 5
Start the Counter-Strike game and open the console with the "Y" key, which is located to the left of the numbers above the Tab key. Write the command “setinfo _pw [password]” in it without quotes. Press Enter or enter button. You can also bind the login to the server as an administrator on a separate button. Choose a key that is not used in the game, for example, let it be "=". Call the console and write "bind" = "amxmodmenu" without any external quotes. Press enter and try to enable admin.
