The uninstallation of the client service for the NetWare network operating system is usually caused by the disabling of the welcome screen and fast user switching performed by the service.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system and open the "Settings" node by double-clicking the mouse to perform the procedure for uninstalling the client service for the NetWare network OS.
Step 2
Specify the "Network Connections" section and define the connection used (by default - "Local Area Connection").
Step 3
Call the context menu of a specific network connection, right-click on the element's icon, and select the "Properties" command.
Step 4
Select the General tab of the dialog box that opens and define the Client for NetWare Networks component in the Components Used by this Connection section.
Step 5
Left-click on the found component and select the "Delete" command.
Step 6
Press the "Yes" button in the appeared system request window to authorize the command execution and carry out the computer restart procedure to save and use the selected changes (for Windows XP).
Step 7
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, and double-click the "Settings" node to uninstall the client service for the NetWare network OS.
Step 8
Specify the "Network Connections" item in the opened directory and call the service menu of the connection used (by default - "Local Area Connection") by clicking the right mouse button.
Step 9
Specify the "Properties" command and click the "Continue" button in the system query window that opens. Enter the value of the administrator password in the corresponding field of the prompt window, if necessary.
Step 10
Click the Networking tab of the properties dialog box that opens and select Client for NetWare Networks in the Components checked are used by this connection group.
Step 11
Use the "Delete" button and authorize the implementation of the selected procedure by pressing the "Yes" button in the system request window that appears.
Step 12
Reboot the system to save and apply the selected changes (for Windows Vista).
