The secret question serves as a hint that you can use to recover a forgotten password and gain access to your email inbox. If the security question is forgotten, then in order to avoid the loss of important information, it should be changed. Let's see how this is done on popular mail services.
Instructions
Step 1
To change your secret question on the Mail.ru portal, log in to the system and click the active "Settings" link in your mailbox. On the page that opens, go to the "Password" section, and then select "Password recovery data" from the menu. Fill out the form in which you need to specify the security question, the answer to it and the current password. Click the "Save" button to make your changes.
Step 2
To change the secret question on Yandex, enter your mail and go to the "Settings" section. Follow the link "Additional information about yourself" at the very bottom of the page and click on the active link "Change personal data". Click Change Security Question / Answer and make the changes. Confirm the data change by entering the password and clicking the "Save" button.
Step 3
In the Gmail mail service, the secret question changes as follows. Log in to the system and in your mailbox click the "Configure" button. From the Accounts & Import menu, click Change Password Recovery Options. Enter your password and you will be taken to the change data page for password recovery. Change your security question and click Save.
