Cookies are files that are created by the websites you visit. They store user-specific information such as profile data or presets. You can change or delete cookies on your computer yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using the Google Chrome browser, all cookies are enabled by default. You can change this by clicking the wrench icon in the toolbar. Click on the Options button (preferences on Linux, Mac, or Chromebook). Click on the "Advanced" tab. In the section titled "Privacy" go to the content settings. In the dialog box that opens, click on the "Cookies" tab. Now you can install the required options.
Step 2
To delete these files, select the "All cookies and site data" section. To clear all available information, click the Delete All button. It is at the bottom of the window. To delete a specific cookie, you will need to select the site from which the file was created and click on "Delete".
Step 3
If you would like the browser to delete all cookies automatically upon closing, then check the box in the Content Settings dialog box next to “Delete cookies and other site data when you close your browser”. In addition, users can set exceptions (for example, deleting files of only certain sites).
Step 4
For Mozilla Firefox users, to change cookies, select the Tools menu and then Options. In the new window go to the "Privacy" tab. Next, you can choose whether the browser will remember the history (that is, store the cookie) or not. In addition, you can set your own history storage settings. When you click on the "Clear your recent history" link, a window will open, in which you can select the period for which you want to delete the files (for example, an hour, two, four, a day, or completely for the entire time).
Step 5
In the Opera browser, select "Settings", and in the menu that appears, click on "Delete personal data". After clicking on "Detailed settings", you will see a whole list of options for how exactly to delete cookies. Mark the one you want, and then delete it by clicking on the corresponding button. For selective deletion, click on "Manage cookies".
