The mail service of Rambler Internet holding enjoys well-deserved popularity. High-quality service, reliability and ease of use attract more and more new users. The security of using a mailbox largely depends on the complexity of the set password. And sometimes a situation arises when changing the password on Rambler becomes necessary.
Instructions
Step 1
Even if your inbox has a very strong password, remember to change it from time to time. No matter how complex the password you enter, it can be intercepted using a keylogger - in this case, the attacker will have full access to your account.
Step 2
Log in to your account to change your password. At the top right of the page is your login, next to it you will see an arrow. Click on it, a menu will open. Select Change Password.
Step 3
On the page that opens, enter the new password twice. Enter it both times by hand, rather than copying the contents of the first into the second line. If you make a mistake in the first line, then the error will go to the second and you, after changing your password, will not be able to enter your account.
Step 4
Having entered the new password twice, enter the symbols indicated in the picture in the corresponding field - this is protection against automatic password guessing. If the characters are hard to see, click Show Other Letters.
Step 5
Enter your current password in the last, lowest field and click the Change Password button. The password will be changed. Be sure to write down and store your new password in a safe place before changing your password.
Step 6
Changing your password is also necessary when you notice something unusual happening to your mailbox. For example, new letters that you have not read yet turn out to be read. This indicates that someone has gained access to your account. Change your password immediately.
Step 7
After changing your password, just in case, change your secret question. To do this, log into your account, click the arrow next to your username. Select "My Account" and in the window that opens, enter a new security question, then save the changes.
Step 8
Never save your password in your browser, modern Trojans are able to find them and steal them. If you are too lazy to enter the password every time, save it in a slightly modified form - for example, by changing one or another symbol. Even by stealing such a password, a hacker will not be able to use it. You will only need to change one sign to enter the mail.
