A small number of modern sites do without a blog. A blog for a website is a good way to share your thoughts with the reader. But there are so many scripts and blogging engines out there that choosing the best one can be difficult.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the "lightest" blog scripts is JBlog. It was created by our compatriot and is free. Server requirements: Apache server> = 2 with mod_rewrite module. PHP should work as an Apache module (mod_php), not as CGI / FastCGI.
Step 2
Download the script on the developer's website - https://allpublication.ru. Unpack the archive to any free folder. Go to the root folder of your hosting via FTP, or through the administration panel. Go to the folder where the site files are located (usually / home / your_name / www).
Step 3
Create a folder in this directory called blog. Upload the script files to this folder. Import the dump that is in the sql_dump.sql file in MySQL. Edit the variables at the beginning of the /admin/conf.php file according to your settings. In our case, this is RewriteBase / blog /.
Step 4
Next, put the files from the / crontab folder to CRON. Go to your_site / blog, a page should appear where you can see your blog. In order to enter the blog admin panel, go to your_site / blog / _a.php. Login and password for entering - admin.
Step 5
Of course, one cannot fail to mention the blog engine - Wordpress. Download the engine from the official site https://ru.wordpress.org/. Unpack the archive into a free folder.
Step 6
Go to the root directory of your site (/ home / your_name / www) via FTP-manager, or via cPanel (or similar) hosting. Create a new folder named blog.
Step 7
Fill in the engine files into this folder. Create a new database through the hosting admin panel (required when installing the engine).
Step 8
Go to your_site / blog, the engine installation will start. Enter the required information provided by the hosting, following the instructions and prompts of the installation wizard. When the installation is complete, go to your_site / blog to make sure the engine is working.
