A flash banner is placed on a website in much the same way as a regular graphic. You need to follow a few simple steps to insert a flash banner into the HTML code of a resource page.
Instructions
Step 1
Upload the flash banner to the site server. Do this using the file manager located in the hosting control panel. The easiest way is to use a special program called an FTP client. It will not be difficult to download it, but you will have to configure it. To do this, you need to find out from the hosting technical support the passwords and addresses of the FTP server. Therefore, it is better to use a file manager to move files between the server and your computer. If the advertiser stores banner files on their own servers, skip this step.
Step 2
Prepare the code to embed it on the site page. Usually, the advertiser, in addition to the banner, provides the HTML code that is needed to display the banner on the page. The code can be either in its pure form or as an inserted sample into the page. In the latter case, you need to open the page with the html or htm extension in a text editor and find a part of the code. It starts with <object classid and ends with </ object.
Step 3
Compare the address of the banner in the code with the code where you placed the file with the swf permission. If they don't match, change the file in your code. Typically, you need to do this in two places:
<param name = "movie" - in the value = " enter your address;
<embed - specify the same address in the src = " value.
Highlight all the code and copy it.
Step 4
Next, open the source code of the page you selected for placing the banner. The easiest way to do this is in the site control panel in the page editor. Open the administration panel and find the page you need, then select the html editing mode - it is located in the upper right corner of the page editing next to the visual editing mode.
Step 5
Open the source code of the page and find the place where you want to place the banner. Next, paste in the copied earlier code. Now all you have to do is save your changes. If you downloaded the page from the server, load it back.
