Anonymous web surfing is in demand for various reasons: unwillingness to share the history of visits with those who have access to a computer; the hope of bypassing the ban on an interesting resource or, finally, possible sanctions for a frankly stated opinion.
Instructions
Step 1
To hide the real IP, you can use a proxy server - a remote computer that is an "intermediary" between the client and the Internet. Among other useful functions, a proxy server can serve as a disguise for a citizen who wished to remain anonymous: the final addressee will see the data of the anonymizer, not the client. There are corrupting proxies that generate a fictitious user address.
Step 2
To hide IP, you can use online services - anonymizers. There are a lot of them on the Internet. Go to the site and enter the address of the website you want to go to. The transition to another page will be carried out automatically, i.e. you don't need to re-enter the address to surf.
Step 3
This method has drawbacks: - free services sometimes abuse advertising; - anonymizers hide your IP, but they provide their data, i.e. the recipient will know that you are entering through a proxy; - the addresses of these servers are blacklisted by many websites.
Step 4
You can use the Tor anonymous distributed network. It uses a chain of several randomly selected servers, transmitting information over it in the form of encrypted packets. The endpoint will not be able to determine the address of the sender of the message. Low speed of work can become a price for high security of information.
Step 5
On the developer's site, download the Tor version along with the Vidalia daemon and the Privoxy anonymizer https://www.torproject.org/download/download.html. Accept the default values when installing the program. Tor will start automatically when the operating system boots.
Step 6
For surfing the web, the Tor developers recommend using open source browsers such as Mozilla. In the "Tools" menu, select the "Settings" option and go to the "Network" tab. In the "Connection" section, click "Configure". Move the switch "Proxy settings …" to the position "Manual configuration …"
Step 7
Enter localhost in the "HTTP proxy" and "SSL proxy" field, and "8118" in the "Port" field. To enable the program to work with FTP servers, write localhost in the line "SOCKS Host" and "9050" in the "Port". In the "Do not use proxy …" field, list the nodes where you will go openly.
