The site visitor's browser displays Internet pages by reading the instructions sent by the server at his request. These instructions contain information about what exactly and where exactly on the page he needs to draw. If what needs to be drawn is too difficult for the browser (for example, flash banners or just pictures), then the page contains the address from where the ready-made should be taken and where it should be inserted. These browser instructions are written in a special language called HTML (HyperText Markup Language). In this language, for each of the types of objects drawn on the pages, personal designations are provided - tags. There is also a tag for the text that the browser displays in the page header. This tag is called "title" and is located almost at the very beginning of the page's HTML code. It looks like this: This is the page title To change the page title, you need to open the file with its HTML code and replace the text inside this tag. This can be done in a simple text editor such as notepad. Or you can use any of the special HTML editors that provide a lot of additional features and are indispensable for the constant work with HTML codes.

But nowadays it is rare for someone other than professional programmers to edit HTML code directly in the file of this page. Programmers have invented hundreds of different control systems that do not require the site owner to do something directly in HTML codes. As a rule, in order to change the titles IN ALL pages of the site through the control system, it is enough to enter the text you need in the appropriate field.
For example, in a very widespread Joomla system, to change the title of the main page, you must sequentially go through these menu items: "All menu" -> "Main menu" -> "Main" -> "Edit" -> "Parameters - System" tab and in this tab, change the text in the "Page title" field. In another equally popular uCoz website builder, to change the page title, you need to click the "Constructor" link, and then the "Enable constructor" link. After that, right on the page itself, you can erase the old heading and enter a new one in its place. Sites to change the title, you need to click the "Additional actions" button, in the "Actions on the site" section of the menu that appears, select the "Site management" item, in the left menu of the loaded page, select the "General" item and enter a new text in the "Site name" field.
