Not every modern browser has its own settings for working with proxy servers. Some of them use the corresponding settings of Internet Explorer, which is supplied by default with the Windows operating system. However, all browsers provide a sequence of actions that provides access to the settings for disabling the use of the proxy server - your own or built into IE.

Instructions

Step 1

In the Mozilla FireFox browser, open the "Tools" section in the menu and select the "Settings" item. In the settings window go to the "Advanced" tab and click the "Configure" button in the "Connections" section. In the connection parameters window, check the box next to the “No proxy” message.

Step 2

In Internet Explorer, open the "Tools" section of the menu and click the "Internet Options" line. Go to the "Connections" tab of the browser properties window and click the "Network Settings" button. Uncheck the box next to the "Automatic detection of parameters" label, and check the box next to the "Use a proxy server for local connections" box. Click the "OK" buttons in both open windows.

Step 3

In Opera, open the browser menu, go to the "Settings" section and expand the "Quick settings" subsection. The same can be done by pressing the F12 function key on the keyboard. By left-clicking on the "Enable proxy servers" line, uncheck this item. This browser has the ability to disable the use of proxies for all sites, and only for some of them. To use it, press CTRL + F12 and go to the "Advanced" tab. Click the "Network" line in the left pane and then the "Proxies" button. In the "Do not use proxy for addresses" field, type the addresses of the exclusion sites and click the "OK" button.

Step 4

The Google Chrome browser does not have its own settings for using a proxy server. If you open the browser menu, select the "Options" item in it, and then go to the "Advanced" page, then in the "Network" section you will find a button that says "Change proxy server settings". However, clicking this button will open the settings window for another browser - Internet Explorer. If you make any changes to the proxy settings in IE, they will be reflected in Google Chrome as well.

Step 5

The Apple Safari browser, like Google Chrome, does not have its own proxy settings, but uses Internet Explorer settings. This is where the IE Preferences window opens after you open the Edit section of the Safari menu, choose Preferences, go to the Add-ons tab, and click the Change Preferences button next to Proxy.
