The source code of the page is important when working on the Internet. In the case when you need some kind of picture or news, but you do not know how to insert it, you can copy data from another site. To do this, you need to find the page code. In different Internet browsers, you can find this data using a specific command.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using Internet Explorer, select the tab called "view", then "page source". To view the code in this browser, go to the "service" menu, and then "developer tools", click on the arrow, select the required element on the page. The code encrypted by the developer will appear. Click on the icon, save the resulting code in text format and copy from its components into html.
Step 2
In the Mozilla Firefox browser, the code can be found just as easily. Type the command "Ctrl + U". You can also click on the substring "view source" in the "tools" menu. Install the Web Developer extension, select the Generated Code substring from the Code menu. The source code appears at the bottom of the page. Save with the extension page.htm or copy the file to the clipboard.
Step 3
Google Chrome is a browser that makes it even easier to find code. Right click on the page, a window will appear. Select the line "View page code", the source code will open in a separate tab. In addition, in the same menu you can click the line "View element code" and then the browser in the same tab will open two frames where you can view the HTML and CSS code of each element of the page. The browser will react to the movement of the cursor along the lines of the source code, highlighting the elements that correspond to this section of the HTML code.
Step 4
Find the code in Opera browser as follows. In the "view" menu, select the line "development tools", and in it "page source code", you can also type the combination "Ctrl + U".
Step 5
If you want to find the source code of the page in the Apple Safari browser, open the "View" section, in which click the "View HTML Code" line, then right-click and open the "View Source" substring. You can also type the combination "Ctrl + Alt + U". The code will open in a separate window.
