Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the file for transferring it over the network by sending it to the server. Since in some cases certain restrictions may be imposed on the file size by the server administration, use an archiving program to compress its size.
Step 2
Add files to the archive and specify the maximum file compression method in its parameters, while the process of creating an archive may take a little longer. Also, archiving is convenient enough for cases when you need to send several files, in which case they will all fit into only one downloadable item.
Step 3
Go in your browser to the site of the file hosting service you have chosen. If necessary, go through the registration procedure, but usually such sites work without it, you will only need to indicate and confirm your e-mail in order to carry out further management functions and receive information about its status at a certain point in time.
Step 4
Click on the button to go to the download menu, click "Browse" and in the window that appears, specify the path to the downloaded file on your computer. Select it and then click on download. If the file weighs a lot or your computer uses a connection with a low outgoing traffic speed, this procedure can take quite a long time. Make sure that there are no interruptions in the connection, otherwise you will have to repeat the procedure. After the download is complete, you will receive a link to download the file.
Step 5
Use special software to upload files to the server, for example, various FTP clients or file managers containing similar utilities. If necessary, allow them to access the network before using them and add them to the firewall exceptions list.
