The password is an integral part of the personal space on the site, which serves as a confirmation of your identity. To avoid losing access to your account due to illegal actions of other users, it is recommended to periodically change your password.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to your personal account and explore the available settings. The link to change your password can be found in the section for changing account data. As a rule, developers do not hide this item deep in the settings, so it is not difficult to find it. To change your password in your personal account, you probably need to know your current password. After finding the appropriate form, enter first the old password, and then two identical new ones. A second new password is entered to avoid spelling errors. Confirm the password change with the OK or Save button.
Step 2
On some sites, in addition to the old password, you must specify the answer to the security question that you chose when registering your account. This is an additional protective measure against unauthorized access to personal data of users. Enter the answer to the question in the form indicated in the office. If you are sure that you are entering the correct answer, but the site does not accept it, check the keyboard layout and the Caps Lock key.
Step 3
If you do not know your old password, but you have access to the e-mail specified during registration, use the password recovery form. The link to it is located next to the block for entering your personal account. Write your mailing address in the input field and confirm the request. A new password will be sent to the mail.
Step 4
If none of the above methods suits you, write a letter to the site administrator or to the user support service. Summarize the problem and ask for help in solving it. If the answer did not come in the near future, do not send a large number of identical letters to the administrator or the service. After a while, it is enough to send another letter reminding you of your problem.
