Wireless Wi-fi hotspots have become a ubiquitous type of internet connection. A Wi-fi signal can be found not only in a cafe, shop or cinema, but also in an office or residential building. However, very often access to one or another wireless network is closed for an ordinary user with a password.
It is necessary
- - a computer with Windows OS;
- - CommView fo Wi-fi and aircrack-ng 0.9.3 win programs.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to download CommView fo Wi-fi and aircrack-ng 0.9.3 win. Both programs are free and freely available. You also need to make sure you have a 32-bit Windows operating system with the drivers for your wireless network card installed. Unzip Aircrack-ng 0.9.3 win to any convenient folder, best of all on the C drive or the one on which you have the operating system installed.
Step 2
Start CommView fo Wi-fi. The first time he will offer to make a driver patch and reboot. Agree on all points. Then select the "Rules" menu and check the Capture Data Packets and Ignore Beacon Packets items, uncheck the other items. Click save current rule. Go to settings. All items except the first and the eighth must be checked in the "Main" tab. In the next tab, in the first field, enter the maximum number of packages - 20,000, and in the second field - 20. Now go to the Log files tab in the main program window and check the "Autosave" item and specify the maximum directory size - 300, and the average log size - file - 5.
Step 3
Click on the "Capture" button and in the pop-up window - on "Start Scanning". On the right, Wi-fi points located in the access zone will begin to appear, and their additional information will be displayed. Select the access point you need and click Capture. Now you need to wait for the program to collect a sufficient number of packages. When the packages are assembled, press Ctrl + L and select all files in the window that appears. Then, in the File tab, select Export log files to TCPdump format.
Step 4
Run AirCrack, give it parameters and the path to the exported package file. Select the packets in the Encryption: WEP, Key size: one by one, from small values to large values. After selecting enough packages, check the USE PTW attack checkbox. Click on Launch. If the key is found, at the bottom of the window that opens you will see the inscription "KEY FOUND!" and the key itself. However, the key will be separated by colons, which do not need to be entered when connecting to the dot.
