In the age of information technology, having your own website is often necessary for development, self-promotion, distribution of your goods and promotion of projects. In order to create an original and beautiful site, it is not necessary to have knowledge in the field of web programming - sometimes it is enough just to install a ready-made template on your site, which is on paid or free hosting. You can download a template of a suitable style in any color scheme from the Internet.

Instructions

Step 1

When downloading a site template, make sure it is generic and can be used across all pages on your site. Some templates support not only the site itself, but also the forum - if you need to connect a template to a forum, do not forget to check if the template supports forums. After the template is uploaded, go to your hosting site, log in and open the site's control panel. For example, if you are using the Ucoz service, the control panel will be in the Admin tab.

Step 2

With the Control Panel open, go to the Design Management section and then to the Template Builder section.

Step 3

Unpack the archive with the template downloaded to your computer. In addition to the folder with the images that make up the site, you will need a styles.css file, a stylesheet file, and a tmpl.txt file that contains the template code. Open a text document with the template code, select all its content, and then copy and paste it in the site control panel in the "Template designer" section.

Step 4

After that, open the "CSS Style Sheet" option in the "Editing Templates" section. Open the styles.css file using a regular notepad and copy its contents. Paste the copied code into the open field of the stylesheet.

Step 5

After that, go to the file manager section and upload all template files from the img folder to the root directory of the site. You can also use any configured FTP client to upload files to the server.
