Bots are used in Counter Strike as opponents in a local or multiplayer game. They are fully automated and controlled by a computer. When you enter the command for creating bots in the command line, names are assigned to them automatically, but by changing certain game files, you can set their nicknames yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the folder with the Counter Strike game in the computer operating system. To do this, open "My Computer" - "Local C: Drive" - Program Files - Counter Strike - cstrike. Also, the game can be located in the directory "Local drive C:" - Game - CS 1.6 - cstrike. The location may vary depending on the version of the game installed.
Step 2
Find the bootprofile.db file in the directory. Right-click on it, go to "Selecting a program from the list manually". Select "Notepad" from the list that appears.
Step 3
In the notepad window that opens, you will see a list of bot names that you can change to your own. For example, you can change the Ulysses parameter to "Sniper". Thus, the Ulysses bot will be created under the name "Sniper".
Step 4
Some other parameters can also be edited using the BotProfile.db file. For example, you can choose your favorite bot weapon. Find the line:
Template rifle
WeaponPreference = ak47
End
The WeaponPreference command is responsible for the weapon the bot prefers. If you want the bot to use the m4a1 automaton instead of ak47, change the parameter accordingly:
WeaponPreference = m4a1.
Step 5
You can also edit the skills of a specific bot. Changes are made in the Template Elite block. The Skill parameter is responsible for the accuracy of the bot, where 100 is the maximum value. Aggression - aggression (the higher the parameter, the bolder the computer will attack). ReactionTime is responsible for the character's reaction (the lower the setting, the faster the bot starts shooting at the enemy). Voicepitch is responsible for the timbre of the voice (with a decrease in the value of the parameter, a particular bot will have a squeakier voice).
Step 6
Save your changes and run the game. Now bots will appear with the names and parameters you specified. To add a player, use the bot_add command in the console.
