Browser is an application with which the user can view resources on the Internet. Software developers offer different products: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, and so on. Each describes the advantages of their program and strives to gain a leading position in the market. What is the most popular browser?
Instructions
Step 1
In order to answer this question, you need to turn to statistics and think a little logically. Given the prevalence of the Windows operating system, we can safely say that the proportion of people using the Internet Explorer web browser is quite high, since this browser is installed along with the OS. There are many novice users in the world who at first do not even think about the fact that there are other browsers.
Step 2
To get more detailed information, it is worth visiting the resources on which analysis and statistics are conducted. For example, on the StatCounter website at https://gs.statcounter.com, you can view data on which browsers were most popular at a given time, around the world or in a particular geographic location.
Step 3
On the main page, select the Browser type in the first field, specify the region for which you want to get information in the second field, and the time period in the third field. Click on the Update Graph button! and check out the graph that appears at the top of the page. The legend (browser names) is shown to the right of the graph.
Step 4
If you have your own site, you can track the statistics of the popularity of web browsers specifically for that site. Install one of the counters, of which there are more than enough on the web, and you can see at any time from which browsers your site is viewed most often. For example, you can use Yandex services.
Step 5
Log in to the system, click on your login in the upper right corner of the Yandex main page and select the Metrica service from the drop-down menu. Add your site to the list, paste the received code for accounting statistics on the pages of the site you need and watch the situation in the Browsers category of the Technologies section.
