A signature in relation to forums is a short text that is automatically placed at the end of each user post. Some forum engines allow you to insert small images into this text.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the picture you would like to include in your signature. The following requirements are imposed on it: firstly, it must not violate the copyright of third parties, and secondly, it must have a horizontal layout and be very small (no more than 300 pixels horizontally and 30 pixels vertically). Place the picture on any photo hosting. Among several automatically generated links, find the so-called straight line, that is, leading directly to the image file. You can also place an image that is already on another server, provided that the latter allows the so-called leaching (insertion of images into pages outside this server). To do this, right-click on the image and select "Copy image address" from the context menu. The link will appear on the clipboard.
Step 2
Log in to the forum using the username and password you received during registration. Click on the "Profile" button. Follow the link "Profile settings". Among the input fields on the page, find the field labeled "Signature". Paste the link to the image in the desired place in the signature text. If there is no text there yet, enter it if you wish - this will be a comment to the picture. The link should be on a separate line.
Step 3
To the left of the link, place the opening tag
Step 4
Click the "Edit Profile" button or similar (its exact name depends on the "engine" of the forum). Search the forum for any of your own posts. Now it should contain a signature with a picture. If instead of it you find a link with tags, then the forum "engine" does not support the insertion of images into the signature. In this case, the link will have to be removed from it.
