Anonymity on the Internet is a very conditional concept. Even if when visiting sites and forums you do not write anything and do not leave any of your data, information about your computer still remains. Your IP address, operating system version, browser type, and more. But, of course, IP provides the most information. By it, you can not only find out your geographic location, but also the detailed data of your provider, which, in turn, has logs of all your movements on the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Therefore, it is so important to be able, if necessary, to hide your local IP, substituting a completely different one instead. The easiest way to do this is to use one of the many anonymous proxy servers. You can do this in two ways: through an anonymous web proxy or by changing your browser settings accordingly.
Step 2
If you only need to browse some sites, use a web-based proxy server. It is simpler and more convenient because such a proxy server looks like a regular web page. Open your favorite search engine and enter the query "anonymous proxies". Choose any link you like from the list provided. For instance, www.proxer.ru or www.anonymizer.ru
Step 3
Find an empty line for the web address on the proxy server page that opens and paste the address of the site you want to visit into it. When you go to the site, note that a line with the proxy address appears in the address bar in front of its address. This means that instead of your real IP, the visited site reflected the IP address of the anonymous proxy.
Step 4
Since it is too tedious to open the anonymizer page every time and enter the address of a specific site, try setting your browser so that it views all visited sites through an anonymous proxy. To do this, you need a list of active anonymous proxies. First of all, go to the website at https://www.checker.freeproxy.ru/checker/last_checked_proxies.php. On the right side, find a sheet with a list of anonymous proxies
“Anonymous HTTP proxies” “High anonymous (elite) HTTP proxies”. Choose any of them at your discretion.
Step 5
Note that the numbers on each line are separated by periods and colons. All numbers before the colon and separated by periods are one anonymous IP address. The numbers after the colon are the port number through which the connection will be made. You will need both.
Step 6
In the main menu of your browser, find the "Tools" or "Settings" tab, and in them the "Advanced" or "Advanced" tab. As a result, you will find the "Network" service submenu. Find in the window that opens the button labeled "Proxies" or "Use proxies" and click it. If you are using a Mozilla browser, on the Networking tab, use the Configure button.
Step 7
In the window that opens, find a line with empty fields "Proxy" and "Port". Copy the numbers before the colon in the line of the anonymous proxy address and paste them into the "Proxy" field, enter the numbers copied after the colon into the "Port" field. Then click the "Save" button and close the settings window. Now, when you visit any sites, not your real local IP-address will be displayed, but the anonymous one that you entered in the browser settings.
